Addressing rotational motion on gravitational waves detectors

The rotational components of Earth's seismic motion are one of the major contributions to limit the sensitivity of terrestrial gravitational-wave detectors at frequencies below 10 Hz. The fundamental challenges lie in understanding the angular degrees of freedom of seismic motion and how they can be accurately measured.
