Non-redundant aperture-masking interferometry maximizes the angular resolution of a telescope by turning it into an interferometric array using pupil plane masks. If the interference pattern on the detector is spectrally dispersed, deeper contrasts of the astrophysical scenery and an improved coverage of its spatial Fourier modes is achieved.
