Using Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager ring-diagram measurements and building on the rotation-rate $Ω$ inferences presented in Paper I for depths of 1-17 Mm, we examine the properties of the dimensionless radial shear $\partial\lnΩ/\partial\ln r$.
