We present the first high-resolution transmission spectroscopy of the ultrahot Jupiter KELT-18b, probing its escaping atmosphere by analyzing a single transit obtained with the CARMENES spectrograph. Transmission spectroscopy and Doppler tomography were utilized to isolate the planetary signal.
