Detecting and Identifying Supernovae in AGN Accretion Disks

Stars may become embedded in active galactic nucleus (AGN) accretion disks and eventually explode as supernovae (SNe), whose detection would provide direct evidence for the existence and evolution of stars in AGN disks.
