Solar flare hard X-ray (HXR) imaging by the ASO-S/HXI instrument reconstructs source images from modulated counts of 91 bi-grid sub-collimators---an underdetermined inverse problem of recovering a high-dimensional spatial distribution from low-dimensional measurements.
