A New Analysis Tool for Radial Pulsations

Abstract

Wave-energy relation is introduced as a new analysis tool for linear radial pulsations. Wave energy consists of kinetic energy, acoustic-potential energy, dynamical-potential energy, and entropy-potential energy. The relation describes changes in the wave energy caused by non-adiabatic processes and by leakage of wave energy.
