Abstract

The aromatic infrared bands (AIBs) are observed in a wide variety of astrophysical sources, and now in unprecedented detail by the James Webb space telescope (JWST). These bands are generally attributed to the emission from polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAHs).
