Abstract

Globular clusters host rich millisecond pulsar populations, but the known population remains incomplete. We present the observing strategy for Phase II of the Globular Clusters GMRT Pulsar Survey (GCGPS), which uses the SPOTLIGHT system to form 160 synthesised beams simultaneously, substantially expanding the instantaneous field of view compared with the two phased-array beams of Phase I.
